I noticed that Yoshimura has just released a Silencer ASSY (TT) for the TMAX500 as a separate spare part. This means that if it's damaged, you don't have to replace the entire exhaust system, but only the silencer.
I think this is a pretty practical solution, because in a harmless tip-over or mishap while maneuvering, the silencer is often the first part to get scratches or dents.
This got me curious: If your high-quality aftermarket muffler were damaged, would you buy a new one to make the motorcycle look like new again? Or would you simply accept the scratches and dents as part of the motorcycle's history and keep riding?
